Day-by-day itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival — Negombo
Short airport transfer and a slow first afternoon by the pool.
- Day 2
Negombo to Habarana
Drive to the Cultural Triangle with a relaxed lunch stop. Family-friendly hotel with a garden and pool.
- Day 3
Sigiriya at family pace
Climb Sigiriya early, or choose the easier Pidurangala rock. Afternoon bullock-cart ride and village lunch.
- Day 4
Elephant safari
Morning at leisure, then a jeep safari in Minneriya or Kaudulla to see large elephant herds.
- Day 5
Habarana to Kandy
Visit a spice garden on the way. Evening Kandyan dance show with drummers and fire-walkers.
- Day 6
Kandy
Royal Botanic Gardens and the Temple of the Tooth, with an easy afternoon.
- Day 7
Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
Waterfalls, a tea factory and a boat ride on Lake Gregory.

Train to Ella
A shorter section of the scenic train — just enough for the views without a long day.

Ella
Watch a train cross the Nine Arch Bridge and take an easy walk up Little Adam's Peak.
- Day 10
Ella to Udawalawe
Afternoon safari in Udawalawe, plus the feeding time at the Elephant Transit Home.
- Day 11
Udawalawe to the south coast
Arrive at a family beach resort with shallow, calm water in season.
- Day 12
Galle & turtles
Explore Galle Fort and visit a turtle conservation project.
- Day 13
Beach day
A free day for the beach, the pool or a whale-watching trip in season.

Departure
Transfer to the airport.
